In high school my first Def Leppard experience was to the grooves of “High N’ Dry” and loved every song. So, On Through The Night was “my” 2nd Def Lep album and although I liked the album, I wasn’t blown away. However like millions, I got really sucked into Pyromania & later Hysteria. But somewhere along the way On Through The Night became & still is my go to Def Leppard album. Perhaps it’s because it’s not overproduced? Their 1st 4 albums are really very different from each other. Actually, the songs have more depth than the Def Leppard that most of the world knows. Not quite sure why Joe Elliot shuns this album to this day? Incredible music from a bunch of teenagers (at the time). I am a huge fan.
