To say this isn’t a “real” Aerosmith album is like saying “Brian Johnson wasn’t an AC-DC vocalist”. Complete and utter BS. As a drummer, it is certainly my favorite Joey Kramer album. Steven Tyler is great here and sounds his best since Rocks. And last but not least Jimmy Crespo & Rick Dufay just kill it on guitar. This is great-in-your-face-hard-rock! I’d say about half of Aerosmith’s albums are truly great and would have a hard time picking any one that tops this. So if you didn’t listen to this because Joe Perry wasn’t on it, your loss.

Agreed 100% John. The whole album just oozes Sleaze. It was my first Aerosmith album in 1983 at 13 years old and is my favorite .

I’ll chime in and say that I also think this album is under-rated with material of high quality given the ructions the band had been through to that time. I’ve never seen reason to think of it as anything but a legit Aerosmith album.

Excellent Album! I was so excited to hear this and it didn’t disappoint one bit! I didn’t miss Joe and Brad because they were making albums with Derek St Holmes and the Project! I agree some of Joeys Best Drumming!
