    Mark Lindsay (formerly of Paul Revere and the Raiders) was an A and R director at United Artists Records. Lindsay signed Rafferty to UA; he’s the unsung hero of the record.

      Thanks for that piece of information.
      City to City is a pop masterpiece.
      I’m constantly amazed that it doesn’t appear in greatest album lists.
      I bought the album along with
      Abbey Road.
